FDI International and Telecom FAQs
Okay, we've been bombarded with questions about the Pre-Launch of FDI International, its involvement in Telecom and details on their services. I’ve decided to write a blog post on these questions based on some info that I’ve gathered from FDI’s conference calls. I’ve got video/audio recordings with much more detail from FDI’s VP of Leadership Development and will be posting those soon, so be sure to subscribe to this blog to stay up to date! We've recorded a call from VP of Leadership Development Mike Randolph where he talks for an hour about the technology. Visit www.fdiphones.net for more information.
Here are some of the most frequently asked quesitons:
FDI has been offering Personal and Financial Services as well as Wellness Products, why are they getting into Telecom?
For the past few years, William Andreoli, FDI’s Founder and CEO has been searching for a means to take FDI globally. The health and wellness industry as we all know is an industry with intense competition amongst hundreds of networking companies. The Health and Wellness industry is a pretty big business with over $20 Billion in annual sales. Comparing that to another large industry, which is nearly twice the size of the Health and Wellness Industry, is that of Cosmetics. The Cosmetics Industry (Companies like Mary Kay Cosmetics, Arbonne International, Avon, etc) does approximately $55 Billion in annual sales! Both of these industries don’t even scratch the surface when it comes to the Telecom Industry. Telecom is a $4 Trillion industry worldwide, $1.3 Trillion or $1,300 Billion in the US alone! That’s 23 times LARGER than the cosmetics industry and a whopping 60 times larger than Health and Wellness! The bottom line is that we are part of one of the biggest industries in the WORLD, and we can do things that NO OTHER company can do – which means, unlike the Health and Wellness and Cosmetics Industries, WE HAVE NO COMPETITION!
Who is this Company that FDI International is Partnering up with?
Somewhat unknown to most network marketers in the USA, in 2008 a company called GI Connect began US operations. They were different from the other companies currently marketing services for others. The man behind GI Connect has 16 years in the Tele-Com industry, the last 6 running what may well be the world’s largest wireless MLM company. They are said to have over 800,000 distributors worldwide, and millions of customers in over 60 countries. It is quite unusual to see a company grow so large overseas and then come to the US.
On July 4th, 2009 Financial Destination Inc., a 6 year marketer of membership services to help consumers save money and control debt, announced that Kuba Farbiarz, the founder of GI Connect and the creator of its proprietary technology and worldwide communication platform, was joining with FDI for the pre-launch and formation of FDI International. FDI Owner, Bill Andreoli, introduced Kuba Farbiarz as the newest member of the corporate staff. The new service for FDI is scheduled for release on 14 August 2009. A few highlights of the new service are:
- Make cell phone to cell phone calls to and from anyone in the world without roaming, long distance, connection charges, or per minute fees of any kind.
- Talk on your cell phone while flying in a commercial aircraft from coast to coast, without violating the “no cell phone” law, and at 0 cents per minute
- Free VoIP calls on Internet connections as slow as dial-up, that is, NOT requiring expensive broadband connections.
- Browse the internet on your laptop at broadband speeds, using your cell phone to connect, while simultaneously talking on the same phone, at 0 cents per minute
- Unlimited data download, with no data card, no credit check, and no contract for as little as $10 a month.
With Kuba’s proprietary technology, you are NOT having to deal with a startup company and all the potential problems that typically plague new companies.
So what makes FDI International so different than all the other Telecom Companies like ACN, Buzzirk, 5Linx, Global Verge, etc?
FDI International is a TRUE Telecom company, not a reseller. This basically means “we own the tone”… or we own the network. When you pick up your telephone, the dial tone you hear is on OUR system, our network. FDI Int’l is a reseller ONLY in the area of cellular – for several reasons – but I’ll get into that later. The most important thing that makes us different from ALL other Telecom companies is that we touch ALL 7 areas of the Telecom Industry. There are only a handful of companies in the world can say that. The 7 areas of Telecom we touch are:
- Residential,
- Cellular,
- VoIP – for those of you that don’t know what that is, VoIP is “Voice over Internet Protocol”, or in layman terms – talking over the internet,
- Corporate Solutions,
- Calling Cards,
- Domestic and International Long Distance,
- and Telephony Equipment – that’s phones, switches, and etc.
The bottom line is that when you build your business with FDI Int’l, you can profit from EVERY area of the Telecom Industry – you are not restricted to just one small piece.
Is FDI just another Cell Phone Service Company?
In the U.S., there are only 4 Major Nationwide Cellular providers here in the U.S. – those obviously being: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, & T-Mobile. There are 17 other Service providers, but they are regional and do not provide direct nationwide service. In addition, there are over 200 “virtual” cellular providers that simply re-sell the service of the other 21 companies. FDI International could easily create its own “virtual” provider company, but they choose to be up front and honest with people. They provide access to two major networks here in the U.S., AT&T and T-Mobile. These two companies already service over 100 Million consumers here in the U.S. and use the Global GSM standard service, currently in use by more than 80% of Cell Phone users worldwide – which also happens to be compatible with our proprietary phones and other equipment. Since FDI International is going global, it only makes sense to capitalize on 80% of the market worldwide instead of just a fraction of the other 20%.
There are those companies who tout their offerings of a 4th or 5th generation cellular service – All of the 220 plus companies offering Cellular Service all share the same stuff. The terms 3G, 4G, 5G and so on are totally arbitrary and don’t conform to any standard in the Telecom industry. If FDI International wanted, they could claim to offer 6G service or 10G or whatever.
Here’s the bottom line, when it comes to Cellular FDI International offers the service at a savings, with no contract, no credit check, and no junk fees through two of the largest networks in the U.S. They offer their “unlimited” plans at a substantial discount, but because of the fact that FDI International can integrate Cellular with their other proprietary technologies, they can transform even a “pay as you go” plan to an unlimited talk and text plan for as little as $10 a month. Now, if you want to know how that is possible, you’re going to have to join me at the annual convention!
There are other companies marketing VoIP. What makes FDI International different and how does the video calling work?
I believe this is another area of confusion in the marketplace. First off all VoIP is not created equally! FDI International has VoIP technology that can turn ANY touch tone telephone into a VoIP phone! Even your office PBX phone system! So with FDI International’s proprietary technology, ANY business can take advantage of VoIP cost savings without changing their phone equipment. The really thing that is unique is that FDI International’s VoIP technology let’s you connect at any internet speed, all the way down to dial-up. This is a huge advantage as all the other VoIP service providers can only operate on expensive broadband connection speeds. 40% of Americans who use the internet do not have broadband connections, and as such cannot take advantage of the cost savings of VoIP. What this means to you, the FDI rep, is that your VoIP market just expanded by millions of people across the country! And there is no competition!
As far as VoIP video calling, it blows me away to see some companies marketing and charging monthly fees for something you can get for FREE! Yes, I said FREE! With companies like Skype, someone with any web cam and microphone can connect a video call for no charge. Now, if you want to video call outside the U.S., it could get quite costly, especially from video phone to landline/cell phone. However, if you are on our network, video calls never cost more than a long distance call, and we have the best rates in the world! If both parties are on the FDI International network, the call is absolutely free! One of the other cool things that I found out is that you can video conference up to 23 people for FREE as well. And if you want simply THE BEST video phone available, with the latest in technology, FDI International has them available that blows away the competition (yes even the so called latest technology from ACN). If you want to see one in action, meet me in Baltimore for the convention!
So if FDI International is not just a Cell Phone Service Provider, what else can they do that other Telecom companies can’t?
- Cell phone to cell phone calls to and from anyone in the world without roaming, long distance, connection charges, or per minute fees of any kind.
- Talk on your mobile phone while flying in a commercial aircraft from coast to coast, without violating the “no cell phone” law, and at 0 cents per minute!
- You can have your own professional grade PBX phone system at your home or office that can route and control the cost of your personal, business, fax, VoIP, audio and video conference, and even your cell phone calls from anywhere in the world!
- Browse the internet on your laptop at broadband speeds, using your cell phone to connect, while simultaneously talking on the same phone, at 0 cents per minute, and with UNLIMITED data download, with no data card, no credit check, and no contract!
Can I use FDI International with my iPhone?
Yes you can, and with the unlimited voice, text and data, you’ll probably save close to if not more than $80 per month!
The iPhone is the best thing out there, isn’t it?
Well I thought the iPhone was the best thing since sliced bread and was about to go out and buy one until Steve Schulz himself told me otherwise during one of his latest trips to NH. I thought he was out of his mind, but then again, who am I to argue with “The $14 Million Dollar Man.” He told me that FDI International has a phone that makes the iPhone look like a silly toy. Some of the features of this phone include:
- 5 MP Camera
- HD Video
- LIVE HD Video Conferencing from Cell phone to Cell Phone
- Touch Screen
- And much more…
